Today you are going to watch the sixth episode of the Secrets of the Universe series.
But before I formally begin today’s episode, there are a couple of things regarding this series that I want to share with you first.
Look, the name of this series is ‘Secrets of the Universe’ and as the name suggests, the purpose of this series is to discuss the secrets hidden in this entire universe, the things created by Allah in it, the creatures in it, in short, everything that reveals Allah’s great power before us, that no one else can create like Him.
But after the last episode when I read your comments, I once again saw the same thing happening that I was afraid of and that has happened many times before, in the ‘Hayrat ke Darwazay’ series, in the Gog and Magog series, in the ‘As Above So Below’ series, that what do we have to do with space? That there will be no questions about this in the grave. That what is the practical application of all these things in life?
Now when I ask such commenters what they mean by practical life, they say that Furqan, it would be better if you discuss things that benefit people, for example, issues of marriage, for example, when to cut nails, for example, where to tie the shalwar, for example, how high to keep the trouser cuffs, for example, how to solve the Palestine issue?

These people are absolutely right. Indeed, these are practical matters, these are matters of practice. And every Muslim should know about all these things. But the problem is that YouTube is full of these things. There are many people who are discussing these things in a much better way than I can.
There are entire channels that are reporting on Palestine day and night. May Allah have mercy on them.
Then there are great scholars who can explain the issues of marriage and divorce, the matters of jurisprudence, better than me.
You see, neither of these are my fields. Politics and jurisprudence are not my fields.
My field is to discuss the knowledge hidden in the Quran and Hadith that helps us understand three different worlds. And what are those worlds?
The first world, the world of ancient history, the history of thousands or perhaps hundreds of thousands of years ago.
The second world, the metaphysical world, meaning those worlds where the laws of our physics cease to work, for example, talks of the world of souls, for example, talks of heaven and hell, for example, talks of the paths of the sky.
And the third world, the world of the paranormal, for example, the world of angels, devils, spirits, and non-human creatures.
Okay, now what benefit do we get from all this? It is a very good question, what benefit can anyone get from talking about space, stars, and planets?
Although I had answered this question at the very beginning of the series, today I want to give you the answer to this question in a completely new way. In a way that upon hearing it, not only will your knowledge increase, but you will also feel very good hearing it.
You all must have surely heard the name of Caliph Harun al-Rashid. He was a great caliph of the eighth century, and his era is considered the beginning of the golden age of Islam.
During his reign, Baghdad became a center of knowledge, culture, and trade for the whole world. Great libraries of the world were built in Baghdad and an institution was also established, Bayt al-Hikmah, meaning The House of Wisdom, from where people from all over the world used to travel to Baghdad to acquire knowledge, and thus the top scholars of the world began to gather in Baghdad.
And among those scholars, the name of a very great scholar was Abu Sa’id al-Asma’i.
Al-Asma’i became such a great scholar of Baghdad that Caliph Harun al-Rashid appointed him as a tutor for his son. Tutor meaning, you can say teacher, or mentor.
If you read the books written by Al-Asma’i, you will realize what a great ocean of knowledge and literature he was.
Now, an incident of Al-Asma’i has been written by a great scholar like Imam Bayhaqi in his book ‘Shu’ab al-Iman’. He says that once Al-Asma’i went for Hajj, and there he met a man who was weeping and sobbing.
Al-Asma’i asked him what had happened to him. He replied that he used to like someone very much. And one night, I tried my best to attract her to me. She said, is there no one to stop you? Are you not ashamed?
So I said, of whom should I be ashamed? Who is watching us, except for the stars? So she said, is the maker of the stars not watching you either?
Al-Asma’i narrates that after saying this, the man burst into tears and while crying, he started saying that the remembrance of Allah by that woman in such a state had such an effect on my heart that now my every moment is spent remembering that Pure Being.
The remembrance of Allah, the remembrance of Allah in everything, perhaps it may affect someone’s heart.
Who made the stars? I didn’t make them, Allah did.
Who made the voids of space? Allah.
Who made the creatures in this universe? Allah.
So when I talk about them, in the end, whose praise will be expressed? Allah’s.
So why shouldn’t I, in an interesting way, praise Allah while sharing my knowledge about the universe with you?
The Prophet  once told Hazrat Abu Sa’id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that Abu Sa’id, people do not know this yet, but on the Day of Resurrection, there will be a special group of people whom the angels will call ‘Ahl al-Karam’, meaning those upon whom mercy has been shown.
Abu Sa’id asked, O Messenger of Allah , who will those people be? The Prophet  said, those who remember Allah and express His praise.
The Prophet  once told Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that Ibn Abbas, Allah the Almighty says that when My servant remembers Me in solitude, I also remember him in solitude. And when he mentions Me in front of people, I mention him in a gathering of people better than them.
Okay, now there is a hadith of Hazrat Abdullah ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) in Mustadrak al-Hakim, and I have already told you about the rank of Mustadrak, that the hadiths which were left out of Bukhari and Muslim, Imam Hakim collected them all and then wrote Mustadrak al-Hakim, meaning The Collection of Imam Hakim.
This means that the hadiths of Mustadrak al-Hakim are of the level of Bukhari and Muslim.
Abdullah ibn Amr says that when Allah the Almighty created the creation, He divided this creation into a total of ten parts.
Out of ten, He created angels from nine parts, and from the remaining one part, He further divided it into ten parts.
From these ten, He created jinn from nine parts, and from the remaining one part, He created humans. Then from this one part, He further made ten parts, and from these ten, He created Gog and Magog from nine parts, and then the one part that was left, from that He created the humans that we are today.
Do you understand the meaning of this hadith? We, meaning humans, meaning Homo sapiens, are only a small part of Allah’s creations.
Now my mathematics is not that good, otherwise, if you calculate the percentage of creatures mentioned in this hadith, humans would probably not even be less than one percent compared to the rest of the creatures.
In the same Mustadrak al-Hakim, there is another hadith that you people, in comparison to other nations, are only as much as a small mole on the side of a camel.
And let me also tell you that in the Arabic language, this word ‘ummah’ is also used for different species. For example, the locust has also been called an ummah, for example, the frog has also been called an ummah.
Now just think, when Allah the Almighty has the power to create so many nations, so many different kinds of creatures, then why should I not describe how great He is?
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) says that once the Prophet  said that the Mufarridun have gone ahead.
So we asked in great surprise, O Messenger of Allah , who are these Mufarridun?
So you said, the people who express the remembrance of Allah with fondness.
Abu al-Jawza, a famous Tabi’i and narrator of hadith, was twenty years old when he saw the Battle of Yarmouk, meaning the battle that the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) fought with the Roman Empire, and during that time you also heard the sermons of Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him). So Abu al-Jawza and Abu Sa’id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) both narrated the same tradition with only different words that remember Allah so much that the hypocrites think he has gone mad.
So my dear family, I love to talk about Allah’s creatures, His creations, His universe.
In our world alone, there are 8.7 million types of creatures. What can I even say about the rest of the universe?
All these creatures, the variety in them, mentioning this variety, is to express the power of Allah, so why shouldn’t I join the Mufarridun and Ahl al-Karam by remembering Allah through this universe?
Look, what will happen next in Furqan Qureshi Vlogs, I don’t know. But issues of marriage, where to tie the shalwar, where to keep the trouser cuffs, you might never hear these topics being discussed from my mouth. Because this is not my field, jurisprudence is not my field.
And when I remember Allah, this entire universe of His is present before me like an open book, from which I read and then share with you.
If anyone wants to listen, most welcome, if no one listens, it doesn’t matter. My job is to convey, not to convince.
So let’s come then, let’s start the sixth episode of the Secrets of the Universe series, in which today I am going to tell you about the life existing in the universe and the living beings created by Allah the Almighty.
Okay, I just told you about expressing the power of Allah. You know that there is also a verse in Al-Isra regarding this.
That His purity and greatness are being expressed by everything that is in the heavens and the earth.
There is nothing that is not glorifying and praising Him, but yes, you do not understand their glorification.
What are the things in the heavens and the earth that are glorifying Him? But we do not understand their glorification.
We know the earth, that on it are humans, beasts, birds, jinn.
Then there are also inanimate things, meaning The Non-Living Things. And it is also true that we cannot understand the glorification of many things on the earth.
For example, the speech of birds that are glorifying Allah in their own language.
But do you know that inanimate things, meaning The Non-Living Things are also glorifying Allah?
In Sahih Bukhari, Ibn Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says that when we were eating with the Prophet , we used to hear sounds of glorification from the food.
Then Abu Dharr Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Prophet  picked up a few pebbles in his fist, and Abu Dharr says that I heard with my own ears that sounds like those of honey bees were coming from within the pebbles, because in that sound they were glorifying Allah.
And exactly the same kind of sound also comes from around the Throne of Allah, a sound of glorification like the buzzing of honey bees.
Then there is another very famous incident, Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) says that when the Prophet  used to give the Friday sermon, he would lean against a wooden pillar and sit down, but slowly as the number of people increased significantly, we requested, O Messenger of Allah , we will make you a pulpit with two steps so that your voice can reach everyone. And the Prophet  gave us permission.
And thus, after the pulpit was made, the Prophet  shifted from the wooden pillar to this pulpit. And Anas says that we heard with our own ears that after you left, sounds of crying used to come from that trunk like a lost child sobs and weeps, and that trunk kept crying continuously until the Prophet  came down from the pulpit, you walked to that trunk, hugged it to your chest, and when you hugged it to your chest, the trunk suddenly started crying with sobs, and then you went close to it and whispered something, only then did that trunk become silent.
Then there is another similar incident where the Prophet  told his companions that I recognize that stone in Mecca from which sounds of salutation used to come to me.
I can narrate many more traditions to you. What kinds of glorifications the creatures of this earth, this world, might be doing, but the point is that all this is happening in this world, on this earth, but who is in the heavens that is glorifying Him?
Against this question, the very first answer that comes to our mind is, angels. And for the larger part, this answer is also correct.
The Prophet  had said that the sky creaks, meaning sounds come from it as if cracks are forming in it.
And it has the right to creak, meaning the coming of this sound is also justified. Because there is not even a space of four fingers there that is empty, where some angel is not prostrating before Allah.
The sky is filled with angels, and Allah knows whether it is their weight or their size that is putting so much weight on the heavens that it is mentioned in the Holy Quran that the heavens are about to burst, and all the angels are expressing the praise of their Lord with His purity.
In this context, that hadith is understood very well, which I also just narrated to you, that nine out of ten types of angels are appointed only to express glorification. Whereas only one part of the angels interacts with humans.
So then, besides the angels, who else could be there in the sky praising Allah?
In verse number 29 of Surah Ash-Shura, Allah the Almighty has given a very powerful lead. Now first you listen to this verse, and then taking the lead from this very verse, I will take you forward.
“And of His signs are the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the spreading of living creatures in them, that when He wills, He can gather them.”
Now, the word used for living creatures in this verse is ‘dabbah’.
And it is a very famous word and you would have heard this word in the context of Dabbat al-Ard.
Dabbat al-Ard, which is generally translated as the beast of the earth.
But what exactly does dabbah mean?
Now in the Urdu translation, the translation of dabbah is either animal or living being.
But dabbah is a bit more than that. And from here on, you have to listen very carefully because if you understand the word dabbah, a door to such a world will open before your eyes that will take you on a tour of the heavens.
Allah the Almighty Himself has given a definition of dabbah in Surah An-Nur, that Allah the Almighty has created all dabbats from water.
Some of them walk on their bellies, some of them walk on two feet, and some of them walk on their four legs.
Is it clear up to here?
Now come to Surah Hud. The very first verse of the twelfth Juz’.
That for all the dabbats on the earth, their sustenance is upon Allah. He knows their dwelling place, He also knows the place where this sustenance is delivered, and all this is in a clear book.
Are you starting to understand the meaning of dabbats?
That dabbats are living beings that can also walk on their bellies, meaning they can crawl like a snake and can also swim on their bellies like a fish.

They can also walk on two feet like humans, and they can also walk on four legs like quadrupeds.
Then they also eat and drink, and sustenance reaches them, because Allah the Almighty has stated this responsibility in Surah Hud, that it is upon Me to give them sustenance.
And then they eat and drink, they are not free from the confines of hunger and thirst like angels.
And such living beings, dabbats, Surah Ash-Shura is telling us, are spread in both the earth and the sky.
In both of them, living beings that walk, move and crawl are spread out.
So what else could it be if not extra-terrestrial life?
Whatever these dabbats are, for us, by definition, they are extra-terrestrials, creatures from another planet.
Allah the Almighty has clearly stated that dabbats are spread in both the earth and the sky, My creatures are spread out, whom I am providing sustenance.
Dabbah, that animal which moves and walks relatively slowly. Not at the speed of light like angels, but they eat and drink, they are not free from the confines of hunger and thirst like angels.
And such living beings, dabbats, Surah Ash-Shura is telling us, are spread in both the earth and the sky.
Incredible. And all these dabbats, their creation is from water. Just as our own creation was from water.
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) once says to the Prophet  that O Messenger of Allah , whenever I see you, I don’t know why, I feel very happy.
Then he asked, O Messenger of Allah , today tell me about creation. How did Allah the Almighty create the creatures? So you said that the creation of creatures is from water.
Abdur-Rahman Kilani was a very great scholar and commentator of the Quran. He always wrote his books with his own hands, he never had them printed for fear that there might be a mistake in printing.
He writes in his commentary ‘Taysir al-Quran’ that water is necessary in the birth of every living being, even if it is not the dominant element in it. For example, man’s creation is from water, although the dominant element in him is soil.
And water, in the previous episodes, I have shared with you in great detail that water is such a chemical element that it can be formed in any place where hydrogen and oxygen are present.
And hydrogen and oxygen are scattered everywhere in our universe.
Then from Surah Hud, we learn that there was a time when there was only water under the Throne of Allah. Allah knows what kind of dabbats He must have created from this magnificent reservoir of water.
In fact, I will also tell you now which dabbats might have been created, but before that, listen to a hadith about the water under the Throne that speaks in the present tense, that perhaps that water may still exist. And it is a very powerful hadith.
It is in Sahih Bukhari that Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) says that once the Prophet Hazrat Muhammad  said that Abu Huraira, Allah’s hand is full.
Do you know how much He spent when He created the earth and the sky? Since then until today, He continues to spend, but from then until today, there has been no decrease in His treasure that is in His hand.
In His other hand is the scale, which He lowers and raises, and His Throne is on the water.
    “Arshuhu ‘ala al-ma'”
His Throne is on the water. This hadith speaks in the present tense.
It is possible that even today there is water under the Throne in which creatures are being created all the time, and by the way, what is meant by this spending?
I will give you just one example, just one example.
Do you know how we get light from the sun? Because every second inside the sun, every second, 600 million tons of hydrogen are burned. Due to which the sun flares up, burns, and then the light of its burning comes and reaches us on earth.
The expenditure of 600 million tons of hydrogen every second, and this sun has been blazing for the last four billion years, burning 600 million tons of hydrogen every second.
But this does not cause any deficiency of hydrogen in Allah’s treasure. It is still the most abundant in this universe today.
And this sun is nothing, there are such suns in this universe in front of which our own sun would seem like a tiny grain of sand in a vast desert.
UY Scuti, at present, according to our knowledge, is the largest sun in the Milky Way. In the Milky Way, not in the universe.
And which is almost one thousand seven hundred and fifty times larger than our own sun. It has been burning for billions of years, and I said according to our knowledge, meaning according to the information that we know, otherwise, there must be many more suns bigger than UY Scuti about which we know nothing.
And all these have been burning for the last 14 billion years. They have been consuming hydrogen for 14 billion years, and this is the expenditure that is in Allah’s hand, and to this day there has been no decrease in this expenditure.
Okay, now who are these dabbats spread in the heavens? With this question begins perhaps the most interesting part of today’s episode.
It is a very famous incident, and I am sure that you must have heard some part of it at some point, but before today, perhaps no one has ever narrated this complete incident to you with an authentic reference.
This incident was written by a great 12th-century scholar, Allama Abd al-Karim al-Qushayri, in his book ‘Sharh al-Tadhkirah’. Then this incident was also written by a 9th-century Egyptian scholar, Allama Kamal al-Din al-Damiri, in his famous book ‘Hayat al-Hayawan al-Kubra’ in the chapter on Al-Hut, and Allama al-Safuri (may Allah have mercy on him) also wrote it in his book ‘Nuzhat al-Majalis’.
And the incident is such that once Hazrat Sulaiman (peace be upon him) prayed, O Allah, I want to host a grand feast for all living creatures.
Okay, first of all, a question: why would Hazrat Sulaiman (peace be upon him) even make such a prayer? Because in Mustadrak al-Hakim, a narration is written from Hazrat Ja’far ibn Muhammad (may Allah have mercy on him), and who was Ja’far ibn Muhammad? You would also know him by the name of Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq.
And he was a person who would not narrate the hadith of the Messenger of Allah  until he had performed ablution properly.
And a great 13th-century jurist, muhaddith, and author, Imam al-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him), says about Ja’far ibn Muhammad that his leadership, majesty, and authority were such that no one can disagree with them.
And Imam al-Nawawi himself, who is testifying for Ja’far al-Sadiq, what was he like himself?
Sheikh Yasin al-Marakashi says that I saw Imam al-Nawawi for the first time when he was about ten years old.
Children came to call him to play, but he would not go with them. When the children insisted, he started reciting the Quran while crying and said, leave me, I have to study.
When I saw this incident, I told his teacher that you should pay special attention to this child, he will become the greatest scholar and ascetic of his time.
So his teacher asked, are you a fortune-teller? I said no, I am just saying what I am seeing happening with my own eyes.
Now, the purpose of telling you all this is just so that you may know how serious and responsible people are behind the knowledge I am giving you. These are not just said and heard things.
Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Allah the Almighty had given Sulaiman (peace be upon him) the rule of the east and the west. And this rule of yours lasted for about 700 years and 6 months. You were given knowledge of everything and taught the language of everything.
Besides jinn, humans, devils, animals, beasts, and birds, even predators in your time, such strange and wonderful inventions were made that man had never even heard of. So much so that when Allah decided to take your soul, He revealed to you, O Sulaiman, now entrust your knowledge and wisdom to your brother.
And thus, apart from 480 people, the caliphate then went to his brother.
Now just think that Sulaiman (peace be upon him) ruled over everything including humans, for 700 years, but why is there no mention of these 700 years in our recorded history? Why?
Because the larger part of his rule never happened in our history, but in other dimensions. It happened in the worlds of jinn and devils, it happened in the east and the west.
And what are the east and the west? If you have seen my second season, ‘Hayrat ke Darwazay’, then you will understand this whole matter of where his rule might have been.
Now that he had made this prayer and Allah the Almighty had also given him permission, Sulaiman (peace be upon him) arranged for this feast for a long time. And when the time came, when it was time to call all the living creatures, only one fish came, a great fish, and whatever Sulaiman (peace be upon him) had gathered until then, it ate it all, and then even demanded more.
Now I am aware that many viewers will ask, in what language did it start talking? So of course, it would not have spoken Hebrew.
But where, according to the Holy Quran, Hazrat Sulaiman (peace be upon him) used to understand the language of the hoopoe and the ant, understanding the language of the fish would certainly not have been a problem for him.
Now that fish started asking for more food, so Sulaiman (peace be upon him) said that I have nothing left.
So it replied that my food is three times more than this, Sulaiman, but my Lord has never kept me hungry, except for today when you hosted me. I wish you had not hosted me, Sulaiman, and I wish I had not been your guest.
    Incredible.
Now that fish cannot be a whale, because first of all, a blue whale eats 10 to 20 tons of food a day, which of course is not less, but for Sulaiman (peace be upon him), about whom Allah the Almighty says in Al-Saba that his bowls were equal to ponds and his cauldrons were fixed on large stoves, so for him to arrange food for a blue whale over several months, I am sure would not have been a difficult task. But even after gathering provisions for a feast for a long time, if a fish ate all his food and still remained hungry, then this cannot be a blue whale, but it could certainly be a dabbah that came here from some other ard by coming out of a path in the water-filled sky.
An ard where Allah has spread dabbats that crawl on their bellies or swim on their bellies.
This point is very powerful, to be understood very carefully. You may rewind it, listen to it again and what I have just told you, let that sink in, that a dabbah coming to Sulaiman (peace be upon him) from these water-filled paths and then coming and telling that my Lord feeds me three times a day as much as all of you eat.
    Incredible.
Okay, Hazrat Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Prophet  once sent us on an expedition, on a campaign, and who was Jabir ibn Abdullah?
A very great companion of the Messenger, about whom about a century ago, the king of Iraq, King Faisal, had a dream that the water of the Tigris river had entered Jabir’s grave.
For many nights Faisal kept having this dream and then in the presence of the then Grand Mufti of Palestine, King Farouk I of Egypt, and other great people, when they dug the grave of Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), everyone saw that the water of the Tigris had indeed entered his grave but Jabir’s own eyes were open in such a way as if he were lying alive.
And then his body was taken from there and buried at a new place near Baghdad.
This same Jabir ibn Abdullah says that once the Prophet  sent us on an expedition, we were 300 men, and all the men’s provisions were with them, but then eventually our provisions started to run out. So much so that each man was left with only a few dates to eat.
Then when those also finished, Jabir says that we started to feel their scarcity as well, and then we saw a gigantic fish, from which we kept taking out food and eating for 18 days, so much so that when one of us saw the ribs of this fish, he sat on a large camel and passed from under its rib to the other side, and Jabir says that I myself, along with five other men, sat in the eye socket of this fish and we hid in such a way that we were not even visible to anyone from the outside.
Now think about it, does this fish look like a blue whale to you from anywhere? I am repeatedly talking about the blue whale because the blue whale is the largest living being in our world. But its eye is also only 4.3 inches in diameter, not even a small child can sit in it, let alone five grown men, 300 men ate fish for 18 days, passed under its ribs sitting on camels, sat in its eye socket and got lost inside.

Does this fish look like a blue whale to you from anywhere? Never. And by the way, in another narration, it is also found that they ate from that fish not for 18 but for 150 days.
From which it is also implied that perhaps that expedition might have gone somewhere outside of Arabia. And I think that was the case, they were not in Arabia at that time, otherwise, it is difficult that they would be in Arabia for 18 days and find nothing to eat.
But let’s not count these variables, because then one thing leads to another, but there is no doubt that by doing a simple calculation, we can also say that the fish of Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) could not be a fish of this world, but it might be a dabbah, that was sent from another ard, coming out of the paths of the water-filled heavens to fill the stomachs of those people.
It might be one of those dabbats, which are spread between the earth and the sky.
But the fact that it was a fish, this point is very interesting.
Do you know that there is a hadith in Silsilah al-Sahihah that the first food of the people of Paradise will be a piece of a fish’s liver.
Then in another narration, it is found that after that, a bull will be slaughtered.
That bull is currently grazing and roaming in the heavens and it has more than 40,000 horns.
And then the people of Paradise will be given the water of the Salsabil spring to drink.
A gigantic fish, a bull with more than 40,000 horns, can you imagine what kind of dabbats Allah the Almighty has created that are currently present somewhere up in the heavens?
But fish, there is something special about fish that is very special compared to other dabbats.
Do you remember that when Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) went to meet Hazrat Khidr (peace be upon him), what did he take with him?
A salted fried fish. And even then I told you that this is a very important point and you must keep it in your mind.
And now from here on, I am going to discuss with you about fish and other dabbats associated with fish, in which your creatures of interest, Gog and Magog, will also surely be included.

    Allah Hafiz.

But for now, please go to the comments and read my written top comment, my pinned comment. Because in it, there is an important message from me for all of you.
And secondly, please like this video so that this beautiful and rare knowledge also reaches the rest of the YouTube family.
And now, God willing, I am going to discuss with you the significance of fish in all these mysterious events and about other living beings, in which your creatures of interest, Gog and Magog, will also surely be included.
But for now, please go to the comments and read my pinned comment.
    Allah Hafiz.
