Solomon in scripture and later portal traditions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Quran presents Solomon as a prophet-king granted extraordinary gifts by God. Later Jewish, Christian, Islamic and magical literature expands his story in many directions. These bodies of material should not be blended into a single historical account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Solomon in the Quran<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Quran 34:12 describes the wind being subjected to Solomon and jinn working by God\u2019s permission. Quran 38:36 likewise mentions the wind, while Quran 27:38\u201340 recounts the arrival of the Queen of Sheba\u2019s throne through an extraordinary act associated with knowledge granted by God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The verses emphasize divine favor, gratitude and accountability. They do not use the modern terms wormhole, portal, teleportation or time travel. Translating the event directly into one of those mechanisms goes beyond the text.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later literature and attribution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Testament of Solomon<\/em> is a pseudepigraphal work that scholars place in late antiquity or the medieval transmission history; it is not a book written by Solomon and is not Islamic scripture. Magical seals, demon catalogues and detailed portal stories associated with Solomon often come from this later literature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Islamic storytelling also contains reports of differing strength. Before a narration is attributed to the Prophet, a Companion or an early scholar, its collection, chain and scholarly grading should be identified. A familiar story is not automatically authentic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can science explain the miracles?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Physics has models involving space-time, but there is no observational evidence that Solomon used a technological wormhole. NASA explains that black holes are not portals, and theoretical wormholes have not been shown to be usable passageways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A believer may accept a miracle as an act of God without inventing a scientific mechanism. That position is clearer than presenting a speculative mechanism as if scripture or science had confirmed it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Responsible conclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The source-led approach distinguishes the Quranic narrative, later religious literature and modern imaginative comparison. Portal language belongs to the third category unless a primary text explicitly supports it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\r\n\r\n

A hierarchy of evidence<\/h2>\n

Claims about Solomon should be organised by source level. The Quran provides the foundation for Islamic belief. Authenticated hadith may clarify particular details. Early historical or exegetical reports can show how later Muslims understood a passage, but reports derived from earlier Jewish and Christian storytelling are not automatically confirmed. Medieval magical texts and modern internet claims belong to a different category again.<\/p>\n

This hierarchy explains why the same name can appear in very different genres. A scriptural account of divine gifts is not evidence that a later talisman, seal diagram or occult manual came from Solomon. Likewise, the rapid transport of the Queen of Sheba\u2019s throne is extraordinary in the Quranic narrative, but the verse does not describe a repeatable portal technology.<\/p>\n

Questions for comparative reading<\/h2>\n

When traditions are compared, identify the date, language and purpose of each source. Ask whether a later author is commenting on scripture, retelling folklore or presenting ritual instruction. Similar motifs may reveal influence or shared storytelling; similarity by itself does not prove that every detail is historically factual.<\/p>\n\n\n
